Student Assistant for AI, Automation & Data 

Job Location: Berlin; Start Date: 15.05.2025; Job Duration:  One year contract (with possibility to extend); Job Dimension: 15-20 hours per week; Application Deadline: 13.04.2025

The Student Assistant in AI will support the IT & Digitalization Strategy Advisory Unit in the Strategy & Organizational Department in both technical and organizational aspects of AI adoption. This includes evaluating AI tools for specific use cases, implementing and testing open-source large language models (LLMs), and contributing to the development of internal AI guidelines, training materials, and workshops. The role is ideal for a student with a strong interest in AI who enjoys exploring new technologies and developing practical solutions.

Your tasks

• Explore and test AI tools and open-source models (like LLaMA, Mistral, Ollama).
• Help automate internal workflows using tools like Power Automate.
• Apply machine learning to analyze data and support decision-making.
• Create internal guides, training materials, and short write-ups on AI topics.
• Maintain our internal AI wiki and contribute to team newsletters.
• Support the planning of AI-related meetings and workshops.

Requirements

• You're studying Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s, please indicate the expected remaining duration of your studies in your application).
• Knowledge of Python and have some experience with AI or ML projects.
• You're curious about large language models, RAG, and AI agents.
• You’ve tried (or want to try) tools like Power Automate or other no-code/low-code automation tools.
• You enjoy explaining complex stuff simply—whether in writing, presentations, or training.
• Bonus: You’ve worked on personal projects, written blog posts, or enjoy tinkering with new tools.
• You speak and write English fluently

• Salary: 15.10€ per hour, plus 13th salary for employment of six months or more
